For some windows, the restricted opening needs to be permanent rather than via a face fixed device hence customers will fit restricted friction stays or limited stays that prevent the window from being fully opened.

Winlock’s unique solution to this requirement is the patented Boa Concealed restrictor which will fit any standard track friction hinge and prevent it from being opened far enough to gain access. The restriction device can be set up to give any opening angle or opening size required – and it can be retrofitted on-site in minutes. If the restriction is no longer required the device can be taken off and it reverts to full opening angle for the friction stay.

Once installed this device is tamper-proof so is suitable for hotels, student accommodation, etc where face fixed non-lockable restrictors aren’t enough.
